“Art touches the soul... art is communication... it reaches out from the canvas and passes through the eyes of the viewer right into his heart where it can leave an imprint of beauty that can make the spirit sing.”

Swapnil Jagtap is one of the most versatile young artists at Paul Adams. Born in Kadaknathwadi village of Osmanabad district in Maharashtra, from a young age he has always had a passion for painting that at first developed naturally without any formal training. Despite hailing from a family steeped in farming and tailoring, he has always been supported by his parents with the decisions he made and is still making in his field of interest.

As his skill sets developed, he headed to the Sir J. J. School of Art in Mumbai and passed out with a graduate degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2015 followed by a Masters in 2017. He is an exponent of contemporary Abstractions. As an abstract painter, he enjoys juxtaposing unrelated real-life objects to engage the viewer. His work mostly relates to the feeling of stillness and tranquillity of the chosen subject which forces conversations and questions.Swapnil Jagtap The Hand-Painted Art Still Life Gouache on Paper -Paul Adams World

Through his paintings we experience our universe full of objects that are raw and real with a new expansive and compelling perspective. His work for Paul Adams has seen him explore painting styles from Surrealism to Expressionism while creating storylines that are as unique as the world they draw you into.
