He paints the leaves in a mix of hues as they change over the lifetime of a tree, wonderfully demonstrating how humans grow and change throughout their lives as well. The bold blue of the sky sits in contrast with the warm hues of reds, yellows, and pinks of the tree washing the painting in tranquility.
